NYSUT Education & Learning Trust is sponsoring a Advanced Placement Summer Institute® 
July 11-14, 2016 in the Conference Center at NYSUT Headquarters, 800 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham, New York.
 
The institute is designed for those new to teaching AP® or experienced educators desiring new strategies and methods to improve their teaching. Classes are held from 8 a.m. 4 p.m. 

Course offerings include: 
AP
® Biology 
AP
® Calculus AB 
AP® Calculus BC
AP
® Chemistry
AP® English Literature and Composition
AP® US History 
AP® World History

The fee is $725 for 30 hours of in-service credit ($650 if register

Here's a great opportunity for NYSUT members to enjoy a day of family fun watching the Long Island Ducks take on the Lancaster Barnstormers.
 
The second annual NYSUT Day at the Ducks is July 17th at the Ducks' home field, Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip.
 
NYSUT members and their families and friends can purchase discounted tickets for the game. The first 1,500 fans in the ballpark will also receive a free Ducks t-shirt.

In 2007, Governor Spitzer signed into law a bill creating a permanent School-Related Professionals Recognition Day on the state calendar. SRP Recognition Day falls on the third Tuesday of each November, often during American Education Week.
 
NYSUT's 90,000+ SRP members perform a variety of key roles in schools, working as bus drivers, school nurses, custodians, secretaries, grounds and maintenance workers, food service workers, teaching assistants and aides and in dozens of other job titles.
