We need ALL HANDS ON DECK!  It looks like the legislators are giving in to the governors education proposals as I sit here typing.  We need you all to make phone calls to legislators who represent your district and where you live about rejecting the governor's education proposals.  Please feel free to send this to your friends, relatives and neighbors, as well.  The time for ACTION is NOW!

● Supporting a $2.2 billion increase in education funding (out of the court ordered $5 billion New York State owes public schools)

● Eliminating the Gap Elimination Adjustment which has cost Herricks over $6 million

● Supporting full day pre-k and kindergarten
 
● Decreasing the reliance on and frequency of testing 
 
● Rejecting governor's proposal to increase weight of testing in teacher evaluations
 
● Rejecting governor's proposal to weaken due
