Attached to this email is the Nassau Regional Office’s 2018-19 workshop and conference schedule. Also attached is a description of each workshop. You are encouraged to become a more informed member by attending any of these workshops.
This year NYSUT is offering 37 workshops (including 4 that are new), 3 conferences and 4 roundtables. Once again they have scheduled an ambitious program of summer workshops. Most of the workshops are repeated at least once to maximize members’ opportunity to attend the workshops of their choice. Once again, NYSUT is offering a “basic curriculum” for building reps (and other local leaders) consisting of 6 workshops covering a range of subjects that every building rep should be knowledgeable about, especially now that we are about to enter a post-agency fee world.
The dates for the 2019 workshops have not yet been determined, but will follow in a few weeks.
