Legal Issues:
The federal and state courts are jammed with cases dealing with issues ranging from the abolition of tenure rights to the elimination of exclusive representation rights to the limitation of collective bargaining rights for public employees. And then, of course, there's the Janus case. These cases and many others threaten to adversely affect our members and their unions. This workshop will focus on three main questions: What specific legal and legislative changes do we anticipate? How will these changes affect our members and our union? How do we change what we do in order to remain an effective organization? It’s a critical conversation we and all of our members need to have NOW.
