TALI Funding Campaign Announcement

On Wednesday, January 7th, the newly elected members of the NYS Assembly and Senate will convene to open their 2015 legislative session. In anticipation of that, the Take Action Long Island (TALI) members would like to send a positive message to our representatives, asking for their support for public education and outlining areas that are important to educators.

You are asked to join unions from across the county, the island and the state in sending this positive, proactive message to Albany. Please consider signing this letter (TALI template) and returning it to your HTA representatives before December 19th. Below is a link to help locate your Senator and Assembly member:

The letter signing campaign will only take two minutes to complete. Your building reps also have hard copies of the letter w/ envelopes and address labels that participants can complete and sign within a few minutes time. The signed letters will be collected by Friday., Dec. 19th and mailed out for all members.

Then, on the afternoon or evening of January 6th, please join us in sending electronic messages by email or by Advocate Tool to your town's legislators, asking for their support.
