Governor Cuomo has declared war on public schools. Join us in fighting back. New York State Allies for Public Education (NYSAPE), a coalition of 50 groups statewide, has sent a letter to the governor responding to the offensive, outrageous education questions he circulated in December. Now we need to support NYSAPE and let lawmakers and education leaders know that the governor's education agenda is misguided, dangerous and bad for New York students. The governor's disrespectful questions and his recent actions have demonstrated clearly that, rather than listening to parents, teachers and those who work in public schools each and every day, the governor is taking his education marching orders from the Wall Street hedge fund billionaires. If the governor wants to stand with the billionaires and education profiteers rather than parents, teachers and public school advocates, that is his choice. But we will stand together and say NO to his dangerous education agenda. And we can start today. |
