On Thursday, June 19 at about 2 a.m. the Teachers' PNC and the District signed a memorandum of agreement pursuant to the expiring Teachers' Contract. This memorandum is subject to ratification by teacher members and the Board of Education.
It is imperative that teachers attend the general membership meeting for teachers and teaching assistants in the Community Center auditorium on Tues., June 24th at 4pm. Negotiation updates for expiring contracts will be provided. Specifics regarding the signed teacher memorandum will be discussed. Please make every effort to attend this meeting so you can get information firsthand and be correctly informed.
As per our Constitution, follow-up meetings will be held at each building on either Wed., June 25th or Thurs., June 26th for the purpose of discussing contract proposals. Building reps will notify you of the date and time of each respective building meeting. Building reps will also conduct a secret ballot election on Friday, June 27th for the purpose of approving or rejecting a new teacher contract. The results of this vote will be sent out to members via Constant Contact after the Balloting Chair confirms voting results.
